When Phuture invented acid house in the 1980s, recording electric instruments directly to tape, bypassing the acoustics of amplifiers and rooms, had been common for some time. The song Anarogu ponders what it might've sounded like if a studio recorded a house track the way popular music was recorded decades prior to the genre's invention.
